From 2009 – 2012 I studied Theatrical Costume and Pattern Cutting at Kensington and Chelsea College. This blog covers the first year.
Sorry for the brevity, I had a lot of sewing to do.
In 2010, I completed an eighteenth century polonaise with stays and a hand quilted petticoat to obtain a BTEC Certificate Level 2 in Theatrical Costume.
I continued to Level 3 and constructed a Victorian Bustle Dress with a steel boned corset and bustle.
In the final year, I made a gown fit for A lady of the theatrical court of Louis XIV. This was modeled by a dancer from the English National Ballet School.
Now I live in Los Angeles…
